On May 30th, our ImPact Club students will unveil a community event focused on environmental awareness and creative action. We’re keeping some surprises under wraps — but it’s going to be inspiring.

During the Market on Main Fall Festival, DreamSpire Creatives hosted a community chalk art experience that invited children to transform Washington Street into an outdoor canvas. Young artists designed colorful creations directly on the pavement, filling downtown Alexandria with imagination, self-expression, and friendly creative competition.

DreamSpire Creatives invited children to carve pumpkins as part of a collaborative art project for Kincaid Regional Theatre’s Sleepy Hollow production. Each carved pumpkin became part of a larger art installation, giving young creators the opportunity to contribute to a professional community theater experience through hands-on artistic expression.

Young artists in grades 1–4 gathered to paint and create kindness rocks designed to spread joy throughout the community. Surrounded by the natural beauty of AJ Jolly Park, children were inspired by friendship and nature as they transformed simple stones into colorful messages of encouragement. Finished rocks were placed around the community or gifted to friends — small creations with big heart and meaningful impact.

Students in grades 5–8 gathered at AJ Jolly Park to explore nature as their art studio. Using branches, leaves, and natural materials, young artists created one-of-a-kind art pieces inspired by the textures, shapes, and beauty of the outdoors. This hands-on experience encouraged creativity, environmental appreciation, and imaginative expression — proving that nature itself can be the canvas.

DreamSpire Creatives began with a kick-off gathering at Brass Key, where kids ages 8–18 came together to create vision boards for the year ahead. Each participant designed a personal board reflecting their goals, dreams, and hopes for what lay in the coming year. As creativity flowed, new friendships formed and connections grew — marking the start of a community built on imagination, inspiration, and belonging.
